Exceptional standards are something we strive for in every area of our business. It’s evident in our Investors in People status. It’s evident in our ISO 9001 and OHSAS accreditations. But most importantly of all, it’s evident in our everyday actions.
Priority number one is the health and safety of our people – a commitment embraced by our Board of Directors and overseen by a full-time HSE Manager. Regular meetings, toolbox talks and safety audits help encourage employees in all roles and at all levels to be safety conscious at all times. We also hold a dedicated safety management review meeting every six months with representatives from staff, hourly paid employees and the Manager Director, reinforced by our monthly council meetings where representatives are encouraged to raise health and safety matters.
Over the years this unrelenting commitment to health and safety has been recognised by a number of organisations including the EEF, Norwich Union and RoSPA – the latter awarding Mech-Tool the prestigious RoSPA President’s Award 2010 for collecting 10 consecutive gold awards for an outstanding performance in health and safety at work.
