Mech-Tool Awarded Apache Forties Alpha Satellite Platform Contract

Offshore Group Newcastle (OGN) awarded Mech-Tool Engineering Ltd (MTE) a contract for the design, manufacture and supply of fire / blastwalls, doors and heat shielding to bridge for the Apache Forties Alpha Satellite platform in the UK North Sea.

The project is well underway with the MTE supply of blastwalls, firewalls and heatshields already being installed. MTE is also undertaking the installation of the external doors for the project. This phase will be complete in early 2012.

The new platform will be bridge-linked to the Forties Alpha installation in the Apache-operated field.
